Our Services
The overall cost of a funeral is made up of three parts:

Our Professional fees which include all of the necessary services from a qualified funeral director. Full details of which are listed below.

Additional costs such as a choice of coffin, limousines, floral tributes, funeral stationery and newspaper notices. If the death occurred or the funeral is to take place outside of the Plymouth area then an additional mileage charge may apply.

Third party disbursements such as crematoria & cemeteries, churches & officiants, organist, doctors & potentially a number of others such as providers of alternative funeral vehicles.

Our family recognises that every person is unique therefore each funeral service should reflect the individual's life. We can provide traditional, contemporary and eco friendly services that express each individual's personality.
As part of providing a professional, honest and affordable service, an explanation of funeral costs are shown below from July 2025.

As part of our funeral arrangement we will provide a written estimate of these costs and clarify the choices of the arranging client, before any commitments are made.
Direct Cremation (Unattended/No Funeral Service)
Here at Clifford’s we guarantee the same level of professionalism and care for our Direct Cremation service as we do our Funeral service. This choice is appealing to those who don't feel the need for a ceremonial funeral service. Family and friends are still able to visit their loved one at Clifford's before the cremation. A loved one's ashes can be collected from Clifford's within 3 working days from the cremation date. The price of this service includes:

The Park Direct Cremation Fee: £550.00​
Our hearse will convey the coffin to the nearest Crematorium at an appointed time with the necessary bearers. There will be no funeral service or attendance with a Direct Cremation service.
Cost of Direct Cremation: £1,650.00 (Inclusive)

Attended Direct Cremation (No Funeral Service)
The Attended Direct Cremation allows for up to 15 family/friends to be present at the crematorium. With entry to the chapel for 10 minutes. Family/friends are able to share words and tributes in this time, however no minister/celebrant is allowed to be present. Family and friends are still able to visit their loved one at Clifford's before the cremation. A loved one's ashes can be collected from Clifford's within 3 working days from the cremation date. The price of this service includes:

The Park Attended Direct Cremation Fee: £770.00​

Our hearse will convey the coffin to The Park Crematorium at an appointed time (08:30/08:45 dependent on crematoriums availability) with four bearers. Family are welcome to carry/transfer a loved one's coffin if requested.

Here at Clifford’s we believe in providing a personal service for every family, therefore our service can be applied to either a traditional or completely bespoke funeral at your request. The price of our service includes:

The use of our Edward Suite should you wish to visit your loved one

Choice of date and time for the funeral service (dependant on availability)

The option for the hearse to pass a home address or specific location before the cremation (within 5 mile radius of funeral home)

The provision of a hearse and four bearers on the day of the funeral

Collection of a loved one's ashes if applicable (usually within 3 working days)
